About Us

The five original courts in the State of Indiana, were

Indianapolis Court No. 1; Lakeside Court No. 2; Anthony Wayne Court No. 3; Logansport Court No. 4; Maconaquah Court No. 5; each being subordinate to the Supreme Council Order of the Amaranth, and being desirous of forming a Grand Court, Order of the Amaranth, for the State 

of Indiana, duly petitioned the Supreme Council for that  purpose. 

On the date of March 30, 1943 Honored Lady Etta J. Corson, Supreme Royal 

Matron, granted the prayer of the Petitioners and the Grand Court of 

Indiana was duly organized March 30th, 1943 in the Knights of Pythias Hall, City of 

Peru. 

On June 5th, 1943 Honored Lady Etta J. Corson, Supreme Royal 

Matron and Sir Knight M. Curtin Johns, Supreme Royal Patron         

constituted the Grand Court of Indiana and installed its officers.
